Pick Of The Week
By: Chris

Thursday 12/14 - The Dealership

Jerry plans to buy a car with an insider deal from Puddy, who's been promoted to a
car salesman. George warns Jerry to watch out for car dealers. Kramer takes the car Jerry is planning to buy for a test drive with another salesman. Elaine returns from a lunch with Puddy at Arby's. Puddy offers Jerry a "high five." Kramer misses the turn to go back to the dealership; instead, he plans to give the car a full test of a Kramer daily routine. Hungry, George seeks out something to eat and must settle for a vending machine candy bar. Only he can't get one from the machine with a crinkled dollar so he asks a mechanic (who he knows has a crisp dollar) for assistance and is refused service. Finally, when he gets the correct change, the Twix bar hangs. With his errands run, Kramer's next test is to take the car to the limits of its fuel tank. Irritated (when isn't he), George seeks assistance from a salesman. When they return to the machine, the Twix bar George had hanging and the one behind it are gone. George suspects the mechanic. Elaine and Puddy have a fight and break up. Jerry's insider deal is off. George confronts the mechanic. Jerry wants George to help him get a good deal; however, George is only interested in getting back at the mechanic. The car salesman riding with Kramer really gets into driving below empty. George tries to complain about the mechanic, but gets into a debate about candy bars. In an attempt to get a great deal on his car, Jerry tries to put Elaine and Puddy "in a relationship today." George sets up a candy bar lineup, to implicate the mechanic, only to find his lineup being eaten. Elaine and Puddy get back together and Jerry is going to get his deal, until Puddy says "high five me" to Jerry, one time too many. Kramer and the salesman, with the dealership in sight, decide instead to go for it.

This Week
This person is not one that we meet in person but we do hear his voice, so to speak. When Jerry calls his girlfriend Sophie in "The Burning" he uses the "It's me" with Sophie because she used it when calling Jerry. And for some reason Sophie thinks that Jerry is this week's mystery person that you have to guess. Jerry asks about himself using this voice and somehow finds out about some Tractor story. Later, she says that he is sounding funny so then Jerry says that he should get to a doctor, and hangs up. He tries to tell George about the tractor story but the moment is ruined by his "beep-beep-beep". Do you remember what the name of the person was theJerry was imitating?

(George is leaving the coffee shop and as he exits, Jerry
approaches, in "The Apartment")

George: What happened to you?

Jerry: I can't believe I did that!

George: Did what?!

Jerry: I could tell you what I did, but you wouldn't believe it. It's not believable.

George: What did you do?

Jerry: How could I have done that?

George: What?

Jerry: I told Elaine about an apartment that's opening up in my building; she's going to move in.

George: How could you do that?

Jerry: Because I'm an idiot. You may think you're an idiot, but with all due respect I'm a much bigger idiot than you are.

George: Don't insult me, my friend. No one is a bigger idiot than me.

Reader's Poll
By: Andy

Last Week's Question:
Being that we just celebrated Thanksgiving, let's direct our attention to "The Mom & Pop Store," the best Seinfeld-Thanksgiving episode. Each of the fab four had a particularly funny story line. Whose story line was the funniest?

No one responded this week =(.  Ok, I'll respond:

I think Jerry's story line was probably the funniest because I loved the trademark way he kept nonchalantly asking people if they were "dentists," and his overexamination of Whatley's verbalisms (i.e. Did he say "Why would Jerry bring anything," or "Why would Jerry bring anything?"). Not to mention, how often is Jerry the one person out of the four who is shunned by society (or Whatley in this case)? That sounds like a George affliction to me.

This Week's Question:
What Seinfeld lines do you find yourself quoting a lot in everyday life?

The main difference between the man's wallet and the woman's wallet is the photo section. Women carry with them a photograph of every person they've ever met every day in their whole life since the beginning of time. And every picture's out of date. "Here's my cousin, 3 years old, she's in the Marines now. This is my dog, he died during the Carter administration." They get stopped by a cop, no license and registration. "Here's my fifty-six people who know me." Cop goes, "Alright ma'am, just wanted to make sure you had some friends. Move it along.....Routine pal check."
