Pick Of The Week
By: Chris

Jan. 17 Wednesday - The Chicken Roaster

Kenny Rogers Roasters opens in the neighborhood and the large neon chicken sign beams right into Kramer's apartment window. Jerry meets an old college buddy who he talks into missing a meeting that it turns out was important enough to get him fired. Elaine makes liberal use of the Peterman expense account. Including a big hat for George, that he tries leaving at the saleswoman's apartment in an attempt to get a second date with her. Elaine tries to justify her expenses to the accounting department and needs the hat. Jerry's college friend becomes "manager" of the chicken place. Kramer and Jerry switch apartments; however, more than just the apartment gets switched. Newman gets Kramer hooked on Kenny's chicken. Elaine brings George to the saleswoman's apartment, dragging George by the ear, in an attempt to retrieve the hat. Jerry's "friend"" Bob sells fake Russian hats, but it doesn't help Elaine. Jerry demands his apartment back when he finds out Kramer is hooked. Elaine goes to Burma in search of Peterman to get her expenses authorized. George keeps scheming to get that second date. The fake Russian hat has an impact on the chicken business.

Seinfeld Site Of The Week

Seinfeld

This site doesn't have too much. It has some pictures and sounds, but what's really cool about this site, is that it has this neat Seinfeld - Mix & Match game. I even downloaded it myself! When you make a match, your hear a wav! After you find all the matches, a picture appears! It's really fun and it's for all ages to play and enjoy. So download it and let me know how you like it!  :o)

A Tribute To
SEINFELD
By: Actrss16|at|aol.com (Theresa)

Jerry and George were when it first began
Jerry a comedian, GeorgeÉa manÉ.
High school together at JFK High
Knew they'd be best friends until they would die.

Jerry met Kramer (or, Kramer met him),
Jerry moved in, Kramer let himself in.
Living across the hall from each other
Jerry to Kramer: he played the mother.

Then came Elaine, a spiritual gal,
She and Jerry didn't start off as pals.
They had a couple of dates at the start
Who knew they'd wind up having heart to hearts?

These four friends were happy with each other
With four pals like these-who needs another?
Finding joy in the faults of their lovers
Celebrities, too, and Sally Struthers.

High-talkers, low-talkers, close-talkers, slow
Importer-Exporter, even "Bosco"
Beach-smelling fragrances and muffin tops
Were some of their inventions that were flops.

About that Cosmo: Should I say Kramer?
Out of the group, not one of the saner.
Kramerica, cigars, we all now know
Crazy enough: putting men in bureaus.

He entered the room like no one else could
He helped good turn to bad, or bad to good?
Kramer's one line in a movie, said he;
With: "These pretzels are making me thirsty!"
Newman was his most specialist buddy
But wait! Let's not forget about Puddy!

Yes, Puddy played Elaine's spongeworthy guy
Being
her boyfriend or "ex" on the fly.
Broken up? Back together? Who can tell?
Except that Elaine IS going to Hell.

Let's discuss that gentlewoman Elaine,
Who, when they were near her, no man was sane.
Whether sparing a square or make-up sex,
Elaine always knew just what to do next.

Those re-gifters and bad breaker-uppers
Could not stand a chance to Elaine's suppers.
Cooking was not her favorite past time.
She enjoyed things, but, like me, could not rhyme.

J Peterman and Urban Sombreros
Were what Elaine did. Yes, it's Bizarro.
Jerry's Pez dispensers made her crack up,
And his obsession with Sidra's D-cup.

Getting in fights with George and his baldness
She had no life, and she'd always be "Miss"
Mannequins look like her; Wait! So do I!
She made fun of kids who had lazy eyes.

Dating half of the men in NYC
Still not knowing what she wanted to be.
Having some fun stealing those recipes
From the infamous, scary Soup Nazi.

Taking Jer, George, and Krame under her wing
This girl has yada yada'd everything!

Hoochie Mama and Elaine's big huge hat
Hey-not that there's anything wrong with that.
Marble ryes, Puerto Rican Day parades,
And who can forget Kramer's butter shave?

Big salads, Junior Mints, shrinkage, and Monk's
Jerry's folks, George's folks-who would've thunk?
Black-and-white cookies making Jerry sick
The envelopes George's fiancée licked.

This group had everything, this we all know
It is truly a shame they had to go.
Get out! Giddyup! Serenity now!
Jerry ended the show with a long bow.

Remember the Time When...
By: Ivy

Jerry and Kramer argue over the bet in "The Pony Remark"?

Jerry: So when do I get my dinner?

Kramer: There's no dinner, the bet's off. There's no bet if I'm not doing it.

Jerry: I know. That's why I bet.

Kramer: I could do it, I don't want to do it.

Jerry: We didn't bet on if you want to do it, we bet on if it would be done.

Kramer: And it could be done.

Jerry: Well of course it could be done! Anything could be done, but it only is done if it's done!

One breakup that stands out in my mind is Elaine with the "bad breaker upper." When Elaine dumped him, he went crazy and started insulting her--calling her 'big head' and it goes well with the bump on her nose...in return he got a fork shoved into his forehead! Another breakup I can think of is a famous line with George and one of his girlfriends: "I am breaking up with you!" And who can forget the infamous "It's not you, it's me."

Then you got that other genius down at the other end, looking in the TV screen. This Einstein has chosen to stand in front of x-rays 14 hours a day. As his profession. It's my own bags, I can't understand one thing: "what was that ?". He's going "what is that, a hairdryer with a scope on it ?... That looks okay, keep it moving". "Some sort of bowling ball candle ? That's fine, just... we don't want to hold up the line, don't hold up the line".

Character Bios!
By: Ivy

The Man behind Lawrence Tierney (Alton Benes)....

Lawrence was born on March 15, 1919 in Brooklyn, New York. Legendary Hollywood "tough guy", on screen and off. Remembered as the title character in Dillinger (1945) and as the consummately brutal lover of Claire Trevor in Born to Kill (1947). Notorious also for his frequent, well-publicized past involvements in public alter- cations - like barroom brawls - and other real-life manifestations of rowdiness. (In a 1973 incident, he managed to get himself stabbed.) Though now a puffy-faced, totally bald old man, he continues as screen actor to project the hard-as-nails mien that has been ingrained since his younger days, as he evidences quite amply in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs (1992).

Games

Last Week
We're going to try last weeks game again. None of you understood it, so I will give an example and explain again to you how to do it.

This Week
Ok, this may be alittle challenging, but fun! I want you to:
1) List one of Jerry's famous quotes,
2) List one of Kramer's crazy ideas,
3) List a reason why Elaine dumped one of her boyfriend's,
4) and lastly, why you think George is a loser....

Now, in less than 15 lines, write a story or a poem about the stuff listed above. How silly can you make it? All will win!

Example
There was this guy of great height,
who always who had an imaginary mind.
He had an idea to run a singles night,
and is always hard to find!
She had many men who lied,
but only one was "fake."
He had some really great lines,
"Elaine, find out if they're fake!"
And he, oh boy!
What a loser is he...
He tried to be someone's mentor,
but like always, he can't be!
